Boston's Celtic music ensemble
Fellswater is Boston's dynamic Celtic music ensemble. The group was formed in 2008 after band members met during the recording for the Stormin' the Castle album by the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums (MCV). We derived the name of the group from the Middlesex Fells reservation, which is very near our rehearsal location.
Fellswater plays a wide range of Celtic music from Traditional to modern compositions, and draws from the heritage of all the Celtic nations, especially Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and Canada. Our instrumentation changes depending on the musical selection and includes whistle, Irish flute, guitar, mandolin, violin, smallpipes and border pipes.
Fellswater is available to hire for a wide range of events, from corporate functions to weddings and anniversaries, Celtic festivals, Irish Feis and Highland Games. Our travel range is primarily within New England with occasional overseas appearances.
