Boston's Celtic music ensemble

Fellswater

Fellswater is Boston's dynamic Celtic music ensemble. We play a wide range of music from Traditional to modern compositions, drawing from the heritage of all the Celtic nations. Our instrumentation changes depending on the musical selection and includes whistle, Irish flute, bouzouki, guitar, mandolin, violin, smallpipes and border pipes.

Fellswater is available to hire for a wide range of events, from corporate functions to weddings and anniversaries, Celtic Festivals and Highland Games. We are comfortable playing for audiences of 20 to 2,000. Fellswater can play in an acoustic setting or fully "plugged in." Our travel range is primarily throughout New England with occasional overseas engagements.

Fellswater performs at Blackstone River Theatre Summer Solstice Festival

Fellswater at BRT Festival

Fellswater performed at Blackstone River Theatre's Summer Solstice Festival on Saturday, June 18th. Held in the scenic Diamond Hill Park in Cumberland, RI, the Festival revived the renowned BRT Celtic Festival and by all appearances was a great success. A stellar line-up of Celtic music groups performed throughout the day, with Fellswater having a nice afternoon slot on one of five stages. Our very own Matt Phelps opened the Festival with a Highland bagpipe solo on the main stage. The day was followed by a traditional music session at the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland; a majority of the performers played that night in a relaxed "musicians circle"; a great way to finish the day. Fellswater enjoyed our first gig in Rhode Island and hope to return to the Blackstone River Theatre in the not too distant future.

Listen to one of our sets (Aires de Pontevedra/Muineira de Casa) recorded Live at the Festival!
